Ballon d'Alsace

Boy, it's been a minute since last we met. Not for lack of love or things to say, but rather due to the coma my computer fell into for some weeks... you might imagine our fear, that all our photos and documents were lost to the void; but we got lucky. Upon resuscitation all was in tact.

Well let's get down to it.

Our most recent adventure was to Ballon d'Alsace, a beautiful mountain range separating our Territoire de Belfort from the region of Alsace. On sunny days, all the nature-loving people pack their picnic baskets and flock to the hiking trails. It's a beautiful sight. So how 'bout some photographs!

Did you know? This is the home of Jean d'Arc (Joan of Arc).

Ansel was nursing a skateboard injury at the time, hence the walking stick.

The fences that run along the mountain.

The goats that people the mountain (who are, by the way, quite amiable).

Marie la Vièrge (a.k.a. the virgin mary) who watches over the land, from Alsace to the Alps.

As the sun begins to set, the mountains like watercolors begin to change hues.

Mine heart.

and the nicest parking job ever performed by a motorcycle.

Okay. Gotta make like a dog and git! Till the next.
