Rolling farmland, lush forests, and tiny villages spotted throughout make up the landscape here.
We stayed at the Cabanes du Bois Clair, in a treehouse nestled in the woods.
So refreshing for the soul, just the smell of earth and the sound of the wind in the trees. I try to hold on to it, bring it back home with me in my clothes and hair, but it's hard to hold onto that sorta magic in the middle of town. At least I've got photographs!
The land is brimming with wonderful, slimy slugs and fungi...
In each treehouse there are windows carved in the shapes of elves, kittens, and mushrooms. This one served as an escape route for a tiny squirrel one night when we met at the toilet... he scurried out through the elf's hat.

We made a living wreath as a token of gratitude and a "see ya later." When we checked on it the next morning, many nuts and slugs had been snatched up by neighboring animals.
So much wonder to behold if you just look around. This is my lesson every day.
